About Lesson

1.3.6 Contractor

A contractor is anyone who is brought in to work who is not an employee. Contractors have to comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and other health and safety legislation. Co-operation and communication are needed to make sure all parties, employees; contractors from other organisations and sub-contractors can complete their work obligations in a safe manner.
